What do you think about AGI as the reason for an extinction event? Supposed to be some meeting on May 27,2025 after which, some claim, the US will be toast. What do you think?!

The short answer is that I view 🤖 in general as no different from any other Technology, namely that it has a finite developmental arc. So I don’t believe in a “super intelligent AI leading man to his extinction” or anything of that sort.
I will expand on my views of 🤖 in particular & Technology in general in a forthcoming essay titled “What I Believe in & What I Don’t.”
Until then, the short answer is “I view AI as a gimmick. “
