Outstanding work here, giving an informed briefing woefully absent from the evening news.

Great read sir. Unfortunately our brains are aligned. Can be hard on the psyche sometimes but what can you do.

What you can do (which is very productive):

Is steel yourself for the coming S***show.

That’s the whole point of my stack:

To make the Carnage so DOOM-full that when the actual C*** shows up; Reader(s) will go: “Pfftt! This is nothing! Ahnaf told me how much WOrSE it could be!”

Lol that’s funny. Ever since 2020 my expectations have gone to shit. But if I come from a place of honesty I must agree with what you just stated. In other words it’s not as bad as I thought. Of course that could all change in a nanosecond. We have a multitude of powder kegs we are tiptoeing through. And I certainly agree with the “Death by a Thousand Cuts” euphemism. Sooner or later one of those cuts is going to find its way deep into the flesh.

Oh I am very serious. But it heartens me to hear that I brought some laughter to yourself in a genuine manner!

I have found (in the little time I have been around) that DOOM & Despair are the best motivators; for they make Men perform Superhuman feats of strength, intelligence, etc in order to survive.

Hope on the other hand... DOES motivate; but only if the men in question have some starting virtue(s) to begin with.

Given the Cynic & Pessimist I am; I have simply opted for the former, as it appeals to the largest group of people; prompting them to Fight the Demons & Djinn (as they invade us by the Trillions) to the very Bitter end.

Do you mind if I ask where you are from? I’m in Florida. Just curious if you were in the US. This place is going to look like a freak show. Once the normals figure it out will devolve into madness quickly.

I was born & raised in Bangladesh. I moved to the West in my late Teens.

I used to be a low level grunt working in the technology space.

Afterwards, many things happened & I fell out of favour with the Regime.

I will simply say... it involved me building lots of "Toys" considered Naughty ;) Not at liberty to say much else.

I am on the Naughty List (ergo, Santa does not give me any presents LMAO :P ) & am currrently typing this to you from one of the Naughty countries of the world (according to American eyes). I would rather not say which specific one I am in. Many Apologies!

Whilst I am no longer residing in the West; I know about it well enough (through my contacts & whatnot over the years):

Namely, that it is basically Speedrunning the Soviet Collapse in more ways than one.

Hope that helps!

You have a different sounding name (lol no shit) so wanted to ask. Been coming to terms with what a bunch of shitheads we (US) have been. We have really been dicks. The war in Ukraine/Russia has been monumental. If history exists it will be written about someday as the day the world shook.

I’m a substack junkie but never got the app. I literally survived off it after covid when they kicked dissenters off most platforms. See that’s the fucking optimism I’m telling you about. Lol I’m pleasantly surprised the right can speak as much as they are allowed too. Gotta take the win 😁😉

This seems a wise stratagem: expect the worst but hope for better. It occasions fewer nasty surprises. (I was always known as a little ray of sunshine)

I am fascinated by the fact that you put Israel in quotation marks. Why is that?

Short answer: Myself (& many others) do not view it as a legitimate entity.

Longer Answer: Given the manner in which it was founded, & the way in which it basically behaves (& continues to behave) like a European colony & Settler state (engaged in outright Apartheid & whatnot), smack middle in the Holy Lands; Muslims, Eastern Christians & anti-Zionist Jews (among others) do not accept it as a legitimate nation.

Considering the manner in which Islam spread from Medina to the entire Middle East, wouldn’t the same logic apply to most Arab countries? Jizya, dhinmitude?

Addendum: the nominal US taxpayer pays well over 25% of his income in taxes... & afterwards several other taxes & deductions are exacted from him; in effect things like mortgages, car loans, etc... take away some 1/2 or more of his overall wealth (individual & familial)

The Dhimmi system meanwhile never exacted an income tax (or anything similar) and only amounted to a 2.5% payment (sometimes higher) on *all* wealth.

I dunno about you; but most nominal Americans (if sincere & fair-minded) would very willingly adopt aforementioned system in full!

Muslims intermarried & became one with the peoples in each of said regions. Oriental “historians” & their propaganda is simply false.

With regard to the “forced conversion” narrative: any cursory glance & understanding of Human Nature debunks this immediately.

People cannot be forced to believe that which they find Ipso Facto repugnant. Meaning, only voluntary conversions can run forward several centuries & millennia into the future.

I have heard other things from Copts. As far as the jizya system, are you saying that’s it’s somehow morally superior because it’s less than American income taxes?

Expand full comment
Ahnaf Ibn Qais's avatar

It depends on the moral system in question being used for evaluation.

If you are a Consequentalist, yes it is morally superior courtesy of that reason alone.

If you are using some other moral system, additional argumentation would need to be used. That being said:

The system of protection for peoples of the Book is part of the Sacred Law & is far superior to any sham “Human rights” legislation on the books today.

That the latter is an utter sham, is now self evident & trivially obvious for all to see as the current world order implodes in real time.

You have no argument from me as far as the western system being morally bankrupt. The issue is that I don’t think Islam can seriously make a claim of any moral superiority given its history.

Addendum: It depends!

You can speak to other Christians also (such as Unitarian sects) who we have fantastic relations with.

Overall, testimony from Eastern Christian groups are not going to definitely rule in favour of the Oriental historiography you presented moments ago.
